Description:
This is a competitive Swim Team,
Beginner swimmers must be able to swim the length of the pool to participate on the swim team. It will be left up to the Coaches to determine if the child can do this in a safe manner. If this is the determination, the child will not be able to participate on the swim team at this time.

PS, all first time swimmers must bring a copy of their birth certificate to recreation dept.
BY REGISTERING YOU AGREE TO ALL TERMS:
Douglas-Coffee Parks and Recreation exists to provide residents with opportunities to participate in recreational activities in a safe and positive atmosphere.
In case of injury to my/our son/daughter I/We hereby waive all claims against the organizers, the sponsors, or any of the supervisors appointed by them. I/We, likewise release from responsibility any person transporting my/our son/daughter to or from the activity. In case of injury, I/We, the parents of the named boy or girl, hereby give my/our permission to the person in charge of the activity to take our son/daughter to the doctor or hospital for treatment.
Inappropriate behaviors include but are not limited to the following:
- Verbal assaults/put-downs/name-calling
- Threats and attempts to intimidate
- Throwing of articles in a deliberate or aggressive manner
- Aggressive approaches to other individuals
- Engaging in horseplay, causing unsafe conditions
- Blocking corridors/thoroughfares/stairways/exits
- Attempts to goad or incite violence in others
- Engagement in a course of annoying comments or conduct
- Display of abusive or offensive materials, words, images
Individual(s) and/or organizations that breach the Code of Conduct will be subject to immediate expulsion from the facility. Depending on the severity of the breach, a further suspension from all City facilities for a period of time is to be determined by the recreation director, city manager, or designate.
The contact will be automatically added to the class as a registrant if someone drops out from a full class.
